Richard Howell is an acclaimed Bay Area saxophonist, composer, and educator whose "Bridge Music" celebrates diversity and unites listeners across genres. With a career spanning decades, he has performed and recorded with jazz icons including Etta James, Ray Charles, Chaka Khan, and Maurice White, as well as contemporary artists like Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah. An active educator with JazzTree Education and Oaktown Jazz Workshops, Howell leads multiple ensembles and is recognized as a first-call musician for recordings and performances throughout the Bay Area and internationally.
