Joshua Thurston Milgrom

Bay Area bassist and composer Josh Thurston-Milgrom is a 16-year veteran of the Stanford Jazz Workshop who has performed with Chicago jazz luminaries Von Freeman, Bobby Broom, and Jeff Parker, and collaborated with Kurt Rosenwinkel during three years in Berlin. His debut album, Thirsty Pilgrim Songs (2020), showcases his compositional approach blending catchy melodies with reharmonizations, odd time signatures, and angular chromaticism.
