B3B4 brings the soulful, funky sounds of the Hammond B3 organ tradition to Glen Park in an evening of groove-heavy jazz. Led by tenor saxophonist Tom Griesser, this quartet dives into the rich repertoire built by Hammond organ legends like Jimmy Smith, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jack McDuff, and Jimmy McGriff, mixing classics with tunes tailor-made for the organ combo format.

Kevin Gerzevitz anchors the group on Hammond organ, bringing his expertise in both jazz and bebop to the B3 sound. As organist for the jazz organ quartet B3B4 and leader of The Kevin Gerzevitz Trio, he's deeply versed in the music of Thelonious Monk and Horace Silver. Guitarist Scott Foster adds his bebop sensibilities and standard repertoire knowledge, while drummer Dan Foltz—known for his five-year tenure with Lavay Smith and the Red Hot Skillet Lickers—provides the driving rhythms that make organ jazz so irresistible.

As KCSM Radio Host Pete Fallico puts it, "For the sound of today's organ combo, look no further than B3B4." These four Bay Area favorites have been thrilling audiences for years with their funky approach to the organ jazz tradition, mixing the divine sounds of the 1950s and '60s Hammond greats with contemporary material. Expect the kind of nothing-but-fun evening that makes Bird & Beckett's intimate setting the perfect place to experience the groove and soul of this enduring jazz format.
