Adam Klipple, described as "a standout pianist who has gone to school on McCoy Tyner and Cecil Taylor and earned his degree," brings his Soul Jazz Quintet to the Dawn Club with a wild and funky approach to organ-driven jazz. Klipple is an expert on the Hammond B3 organ and specializes in unlikely juxtapositions of popular songs and styles—think Billie Eilish as a Motown star, or Tchaikovsky reimagined from Jamaica. The quintet plays soulful, inventive arrangements ranging from Chopin and Tchaikovsky to the Police, Prince, and Olivia Rodrigo, guaranteed to surprise.

Currently a member of the legendary jazz-rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears, Klipple also performs and records with vocalist Veronica Swift. His résumé includes collaborations with Ghostface Killah, Lauryn Hill, the Sun Ra Arkestra, Smokey Robinson, Graham Haynes, Craig Harris, Joe Bowie's Defunkt, Marc Ribot, John Medeski, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Peter Apfelbaum, and many others. He's performed at renowned venues including the Blue Note, Iridium, the Jazz Standard, Blues Alley, and the Knitting Factory, and at jazz festivals around the world.

Beyond performing, Klipple is an accomplished composer and arranger who has earned grants from Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Arts International, Meet the Composer, and the U.S. Department of State, enabling him to tour and teach master classes across southeast Asia, the Pacific Rim, Russia, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.

Klipple plays piano, Hammond organ, sampler, and a variety of vintage keyboards including the Fender Rhodes. His quintet delivers a soul jazz sound rooted in the funky, groove-heavy tradition of the Hammond B3, blending original material with inventive reinterpretations of familiar songs. Expect a dynamic, mind-bending musical experience that needs to be heard to be believed.
