Kronos Festival 2019 continues with Kronos and CocoRosie reuniting on stage to perform new songs by the Casady sisters with the San Francisco Girls Chorus conducted by Valérie Sainte-Agathe. Frequent collaborator Jherek Bischoff joins Kronos on bass guitar to perform his own compositions and arrangements. Filmmaker Sam Green enlists Kronos in Por Vida!, a live documentary short about the tattoos inspired by San Francisco’s legacy business Casa Sanchez. Highlighting Kronos’ Fifty for the Future education initiative, the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts’ Dragon Saxophone Quartet performs music by Malian musician Fodé Lassana Diabaté (Trio Da Kali).
