Thomas Strønen presents his chamber ensemble Time is a Blind Guide. Influenced by jazz and contemporary classical music, the ensemble’s sound and style prize timbre, silence, and harmonic evolution in a variety of ways. Introspective yet not indulgent, Time is a Blind Guide reflects the development of a spectacular group of improvisers.

About the artist:
Thomas Strønen’s Time is a Blind Guide is a chamber music ensemble performing compelling compositions that draw lines from traditional folk to contemporary music. Consisting of some of Europe’s finest jazz musicians, the quintet combines three elements important to Strønen’s writing—a string trio, a piano trio, and sometimes a percussion ensemble. Time is a Blind Guide fulfills the delicate balance between challenging and captivating the audience with textures, sounds, and beautiful melodies.
