Rising star jazz pianist Javier Santiago features this sequence of performances exploring how jazz continues to evolve across the decades and generations. Javier’s exceptional talents extend beyond the keyboard to captivating performance and production elements which will be showcased in this residency.
Santiago has studied and played with international jazz greats Christian McBride, Geoff Keezer, Robert Glasper, Joshua Redman and George Cables. Dave Brubeck selected him to participate in the Brubeck Institute Fellowship. Javi has played many great venues including the Kennedy Center, Iridium and Smalls in NYC, the Detroit Jazz Festival, Blues Alley in DC, and Yoshi’s in Oakland.Alley in DC, and Yoshi’s in Oakland.
