VidyA will present an evening of their characteristically seamless blend of Carnatic and jazz music with saxophone, bass, and drums. Having approached this music deeply for years together, the separate idioms dissolve as the group dwells and expresses in the essence itself. At this, their first show in years, expect material from the ensemble’s latest album, In the Source, as well as old favorites and new works.
Prasant Radhakrishnan – saxophone
David Ewell – bass
Sameer Gupta – drums
