Joshi Marshall is a Berkeley-born saxophonist best known as a founding member of Mingus Amungus, the innovative jazz/hip-hop ensemble that won a Bammie Award in 1997. A versatile improviser and educator, he has performed with numerous Bay Area and international artists including Carlos Santana, Pete Escovedo, and The Black Crowes, and currently leads the Joshi Marshall Project.
