Vitor Gonçalves

Vitor Gonçalves is a pianist, accordionist, composer, and arranger from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, who relocated to New York City in 2012 to deepen his exploration of jazz and Brazilian music. After an illustrious career in Brazil working with icons like Hermeto Pascoal and Maria Bethânia, he has become a prominent figure in New York's jazz scene, leading his own projects and collaborating with musicians including Anat Cohen and Yotam Silberstein. A 2020 Grammy nominee, his 2017 debut album on Sunnyside Records received 4.5 stars from DownBeat magazine.
