Tyson Jackson is a drummer born in West Palm Beach, Florida, who discovered his passion for music at age three through gospel influences at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He studied at performing arts institutions including BAK Middle School and Berklee College of Music (BM '19, MM '20), and has been mentored by world-renowned artists including Dee Dee Bridgewater, Terence Blanchard, and Terri Lyne Carrington. Jackson approaches music as spiritual service, leading with a philosophy of surrendering ego to serve the music's needs.
