Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty is a New Orleans-based trombonist, trumpeter, and bandleader who leads Orleans Avenue, a ensemble blending jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and rock rooted in New Orleans traditions. A child prodigy who performed at Jazz Fest at age four, Shorty has become an international crossover success with five chart-topping albums, performances at major festivals and the White House, and collaborations spanning Pharrell to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
