The Moth

Maud the Moth is the solo project of Spanish-born, Scotland-based pianist, singer, and songwriter Amaya López-Carromero. Her music blends classical training with avant-garde jazz, experimental rock, and dark ambient influences, exploring themes of rootlessness, identity, and trauma through live looping and distorted piano textures. She has performed at prestigious festivals including Roadburn and Primavera Sound, and collaborated with artists such as Chelsea Wolfe and Kayo Dot.
