The David Parker Sextet

The David Parker Sextet is a San Francisco-based ensemble led by bassist David Parker that performs the music of classic jazz composers including John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Lee Morgan, Ornette Coleman, and Eric Dolphy. The group features a distinctive low and open sound that extends from the bass, allowing each musician to develop their own musical vocabulary. They perform regularly at venues throughout the Bay Area.
