Susan Muscarella

Susan Muscarella is a pianist, composer, and jazz educator who founded the California Jazz Conservatory, the only accredited independent conservatory devoted solely to jazz in the United States. She performed at major venues including Yoshi's and Keystone Korner, and was featured on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz on NPR. After decades leading UC Berkeley's jazz program and establishing the conservatory, she continues teaching jazz piano and was inducted into the DownBeat Jazz Education Hall of Fame in 2023.
