Steven Lugerner is a versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer based in San Francisco with deep connections to the New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago jazz scenes. A graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, he leads the SLUGish Ensemble and JACKNIFE (dedicated to Jackie McLean's music) while serving as Director of Educational and Festival Programming at Stanford Jazz Workshop.
