Sam Bevan

Born in Oakland, CA and growing up in Salt Lake City, Sam Bevan is a versatile bassist, composer, and arranger who established himself as a prominent figure in the Bay Area jazz scene after moving to Northern California in 1999. Known for his ability to seamlessly blend jazz, funk, folk, and Afro-Cuban music, Bevan has collaborated with an impressive range of artists including David Grisman, Joshua Redman, and Joe Locke, and leads his own groups including the quartet Hawkeye.
