Rova Saxophone Quartet

The Rova Saxophone Quartet, formed in San Francisco in 1977, is an all-saxophone ensemble that explores the synthesis of composition and collective improvisation. One of the longest-standing groups rooted in post-bop, free jazz, and avant-garde new music, Rova has fundamentally extended the horizons of contemporary music through innovative collaborations and commissioned works.
