Ramya Shankar

Ramya Shankar is an international vocalist and composer who blends Carnatic classical music with jazz and world music traditions. Trained for 25 years in Indian classical vocal music and jazz (including studies at California Jazz Conservatory and Stanford Jazz program), she creates innovative fusion performances rooted in traditional ragas while exploring contemporary improvisation and emotional expression.
