Palaver Strings

Grammy-nominated Palaver Strings is an innovative, musician-led string ensemble and nonprofit based in Portland, Maine, founded in 2014. Guided by thirteen Co-Artistic Directors who share artistic and administrative leadership, the ensemble is celebrated for collaborative programming that addresses social justice, amplifies underrepresented voices, and performs roughly 40 concerts yearly across New England. Equally committed to education, Palaver operates the Palaver Music Center, serving hundreds of students annually with affordable music instruction.
