Negative Press Project

Chamber jazz ensemble founded in Oakland, California by pianist/composer Ruthie Dineen and bassist/composer Andrew Lion. Emerging from the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley, Negative Press Project synthesizes jazz, classical music, minimalism, and pop into intricately orchestrated works. Their latest album, Cycles I, features collaborations with the string ensemble Friction Quartet.
