Malachi Whitson is a drummer, composer, and bandleader based in the Bay Area who leads the ensemble Something with Soul, blending jazz, R&B, and improvisation. He has performed with Herbie Hancock, Joshua Redman, Helen Sung, and other acclaimed artists, and serves as an educator at UCLA and other institutions.
