Lavay Smith

Lavay Smith is an American swing and blues vocalist born in 1967 who leads the eight-piece Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers. Influenced by jazz legends like Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Bessie Smith, she emerged as a major figure in the swing revival starting in the 1990s and has become an internationally recognized jazz and blues artist.
