Kazemde George is an African American jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator based in Oakland, California, raised by Caribbean parents in Berkeley. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology from Harvard and a Master's in Jazz Composition from New England Conservatory, and studied traditional music in Havana, Cuba. His debut album, I Insist, was released in 2021 on Greenleaf Music, showcasing his gift for streamlined melodies and explorations of African diaspora musical traditions.
