Kaethe Hostetter is an American violinist, composer, bandleader, and educator whose music spans avant-jazz, improvisation, and Ethiopian music traditions. After twelve years living and collaborating in Ethiopia, she creates experimental solo work blending violin, live looping, and electronics that reimagines Ethiopian songs and musical forms.
