New Orleans-born bassist John Hébert is a highly sought-after musician in the New York jazz scene since 1995, known for his work with Andrew Hill, Lee Konitz, Paul Bley, and many other acclaimed artists. He leads several ensembles including Byzantine Monkey and the Rambling Confessions quartet, and was featured on Andrew Hill's Blue Note album 'Time Lines,' which won Downbeat's Record of the Year in 2006.
