Joel Behrman is a Bay Area-based trumpeter and composer who relocated to California in 2000 to renew his commitment to jazz after earning his music degree from the University of Miami. Known for his full, mellifluous tone and elegant compositional voice, he has performed with notable artists including Sheila E, Pete Escovedo, Jimmy Cobb, and Chris Potter, while maintaining a focus on the great trumpet traditions of Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, and Freddie Hubbard.
