Joe Farnsworth is a highly regarded contemporary jazz drummer born in 1968 in Massachusetts, known for his blazing speed, precision, and melodic playing rooted in hard bop and post-bop traditions. A founding member of the One for All Quintet and collaborator with jazz luminaries including Pharoah Sanders, McCoy Tyner, Cedar Walton, and Benny Golson, he has recorded over 100 albums as leader and sideman. His 2025 album 'The Big Room' reached #1 on the JazzWeek chart.
