Jim Peterson is a versatile saxophonist, composer, and educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area with over 25 years of experience in jazz and world music. A founding member of several ensembles including MoFone and Giant Trio, he has performed at major jazz festivals and toured internationally across Europe and Canada. Since 1996, he has been a dedicated educator at Blue Bear School of American Music, where he was named Teacher of the Year in 2009.
