Jenny Scheinman is an acclaimed American jazz violinist, composer, and singer who established herself as a major force in avant-garde jazz and creative music in Brooklyn before returning to her native Humboldt County, California in 2012. Her album 12 Songs was named one of The New York Times' Top Ten Albums of 2005, and she has collaborated extensively with Bill Frisell, Nels Cline, and artists across jazz, Americana, and folk traditions.
