Jason Marsalis

Jason Marsalis is an American jazz drummer, vibraphone player, and composer born in 1977, the youngest son of Ellis Marsalis Jr. and member of the renowned Marsalis family of New Orleans musicians. A versatile percussionist trained under legendary drummer James Black, he has established himself as a leading contemporary jazz artist through his sophisticated compositional approach, work with pianist Marcus Roberts, and multiple acclaimed albums as a leader.
