Ian Coury

Ian Coury is a virtuoso 10-string mandolin (bandolim) player and composer from Brasília, Brazil who has performed with Brazilian choro legends Hamilton de Holanda, Armandinho Macedo, and international jazz artists including Paquito D'Rivera, Claudio Roditi, and Toninho Horta. A Berklee College of Music graduate on full scholarship, he has won multiple awards including Best Instrumentalist at the National FM Radio Festival (2020) and is recognized as one of Brazil's leading contemporary mandolin virtuosos.
