Harish Raghavan

Bassist Harish Raghavan is a first-call touring musician born in Northbrook, Illinois who moved to New York in 2007 and has become one of the most in-demand bassists of his generation. With a deep, woody tone and compelling harmonic and rhythmic invention, he has worked extensively with artists including Kurt Elling, Taylor Eigsti, Vijay Iyer, Ambrose Akinmusire, and Eric Harland. He is also an accomplished composer and bandleader who was a semifinalist in the 2009 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Bass Competition.
