Hamir Atwal

Hamir Atwal is a San Francisco-based drummer known for his fresh, conscientious approach to jazz and improvised music. He studied improvisation at Berklee College of Music and has performed with notable jazz artists including Greg Osby, Joe Lovano, Myra Melford, and Ben Goldberg. An active educator, Atwal teaches at the California Summer School of the Arts and has given clinics at prestigious institutions including CalArts and Peabody Conservatory.
