George Kahumoku Jr.

George Kahumoku Jr. is a Grammy Award-winning Hawaiian slack key guitar master known as 'Hawaii's Renaissance Man.' Born in Kona, he comes from a family lineage of slack key musicians dating back to the 1820s and has founded and hosted The Slack Key Show on Maui since 2003, the longest-running concert series dedicated to Hawaiian slack key guitar. A lifelong educator, cultural preservationist, farmer, and storyteller, he continues to tour internationally and lead annual workshops dedicated to perpetuating Hawaiian music and culture.
