George Colligan is an internationally acclaimed jazz pianist, organist, drummer, and trumpeter born in New Jersey in 1969. A versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer with over 130 sideman recordings and 36 albums as a leader, he has performed with jazz luminaries including Jack DeJohnette, John Scofield, Cassandra Wilson, and Christian McBride. Currently a Full Professor at Portland State University, Colligan is recognized for his harmonic sophistication, rhythmic drive, and distinctive voice that bridges tradition with bold contemporary jazz.
