George Brooks is an acclaimed saxophonist and composer known for pioneering Indo-Jazz fusion, successfully bridging jazz and Indian classical music. He is the founder of several influential fusion ensembles including Summit with Zakir Hussain and Steve Smith, and has studied with both jazz legends like George Russell and Indian classical masters like Pandit Pran Nath.
