Denny Berthiaume

Bay Area pianist and composer who began classical training at age 6 and transitioned to jazz after exposure to Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans, and Thelonious Monk. Denny co-founded the fusion group Solar Plexus in the 1970s and has spent decades as both a performer and accompanist for jazz vocalists, while maintaining a parallel career in theater and musical productions.
