David Wong is a sought-after bassist born and raised in New York City who graduated from the Juilliard School in classical music in 2004. He is a longtime member of Roy Haynes' Fountain of Youth band, the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and the Charles McPherson Quintet, and has appeared on over 80 recordings with jazz luminaries including Hank Jones, Jimmy Heath, and Samara Joy.
