Darren Johnston Quintet

Canada-born trumpeter, composer, and educator Darren Johnston is a versatile musician based in Brooklyn (formerly San Francisco) who works across jazz, free improvisation, contemporary classical, and Balkan music. He has collaborated with artists including ROVA Saxophone Quartet, Fred Frith, Michael Formanek, and Ches Smith, and leads several ensembles including the Darren Johnston Quintet.
