Dan Nimmer is an American jazz pianist born in 1982 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and Wynton Marsalis Quintet, and has performed and recorded with numerous jazz luminaries including Jimmy Cobb, Norah Jones, and Willie Nelson. His playing style recalls his influences Oscar Peterson, Wynton Kelly, Erroll Garner, and Art Tatum, combining prodigious technique with an innate sense of swing.
