Chucho Valdes Quartet

Chucho Valdés is a legendary Cuban pianist, bandleader, composer, and arranger who is one of the most influential figures in Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz. He co-founded the groundbreaking ensemble Irakere in 1973 and has maintained a 60+ year career fusing Afro-Cuban music, jazz, classical, and rock traditions. A 2025 NEA Jazz Master, he has won seven Grammy Awards and six Latin Grammy Awards.
