Carlos Henriquez is a bassist born in 1979 in the Bronx, New York, who has been a core member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra since 1998, performing on over 25 albums and collaborating with legends including Wynton Marsalis, Chucho Valdés, Paco De Lucía, and Willie Nelson. As a bandleader, he has released several critically acclaimed albums including the Grammy-nominated The South Bronx Story (2022) and A Nuyorican Tale (2023), which explore his Puerto Rican and Nuyorican heritage. He has been on the faculty at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music since 2008.
