Byron Wookie Landham

Byron "Wookie" Landham is a Philadelphia-based jazz drummer born in 1969 who came to prominence in the '90s as a top-call musician in the hard bop and soul-jazz scenes. He has recorded on over 50 albums as a sideman with artists including Betty Carter, George Coleman, Bobby Hutcherson, Joey DeFrancesco, Dave Sanborn, and Pat Martino, and currently serves as an adjunct professor of jazz studies at Temple University's Boyer College.
