Burnt Sugar The Arkestra Chamber

Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber is a sprawling improvisational ensemble founded in 1999 by Village Voice writer and guitarist Greg Tate and co-led by bassist Jared Michael Nickerson. The group's fluid membership of up to 40 musicians blends funk, jazz, rock, soul, hip-hop, and classical influences, employing Butch Morris's "Conduction" system for orchestral improvisation to create scripted-sounding improvisational music.
