Jazz guitarist and composer who studied at UC Berkeley and performed extensively in New York City during the 1980s with organist Jack McDuff and saxophonist Joe Lovano, among others. Based in San Francisco since 1989, he leads his own trio and quartet while maintaining an active recording and teaching career, with credits on numerous jazz releases and film/television soundtracks.
