Bill Reinhardt (1908-2001) was an American clarinetist, bandleader, and founder of Jazz, Ltd.—the first jazz club owned by a musician in Chicago and one of the longest-running Dixieland venues in the country. Active from 1926 to 1981, he also played tenor saxophone and French horn, and was known more for his success as a nightclub owner than as a performer seeking fame.
