Aron Kaufman

Aron Kaufman is a composer-percussionist based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, known for his work with the Lunar Octet, a Latin jazz ensemble he co-founded in 1983. A versatile musician and educator, Kaufman has composed numerous original works blending jazz with world music influences from Africa, Cuba, Brazil, and the Caribbean, while also teaching Jewish studies and music.
