A Northern California native with a BA in music from CSU Humboldt, Ari Munkres is an accomplished upright bassist with over 30 years of professional experience. He has been a founding member of the San Francisco-based gypsy jazz ensemble Gaucho since its inception in 2002, and is known for his collaborative work across multiple musical styles and genres throughout America.
