Aly Keïta

Aly Keïta is a virtuoso balafon player from Ivory Coast who has achieved worldwide recognition for bridging West African griot tradition with contemporary jazz. Born in Abidjan into a renowned musical family, he relocated to Berlin and has collaborated with jazz legends including Joe Zawinul, Pharoah Sanders, and Trilok Gurtu, winning the German Jazz Award in 2022 for Special Instruments.
